Why should I hire you?
The answer I gave to this question during a mock interview was “Because there are the “can do” candidates and the “will do” candidates. The can dos have the knowledge, skills, and abilities to get the job done. But the will dos also have the personality, morals, and values to do this job. I believe I am a will do candidate.” Her jaw fell on the table and she stopped the interview. So I think I will stick with this answer.
What is your weakness?
For this question I always try to turn a positive into a negative.
What major problems have you encountered and how did you deal with it?
This is another question that has a negative tone to it. If you your problem was negative just put a positive spin on it and say what you learned from the experience.
“Give me an example of a time when….” questions are always difficult for me. Preparation and practice is going to be key in answering these situational type questions.
How do you motivate others?
I also stumble on this question. I really had to dig deep and figure out how I motive people.
